 I promised to bring him "pasalubong" if I won the "Fly to LA with Piolo and Angel" promo of Cinema One. I did and I kept that promise.
Last Saturday, January 24, 2009, our schedules finally met. My husband and I went to his house to give my "token of appreciation". What a humble guy! In one of my emails to him, (before winning the trip) I could not help telling him that he seemed like a simple person--someone easy to please. Why?..because when I asked him what he wanted for "pasalubong", all he said was snacks! That was it!
I consider Boy-Kuripot my hero when it comes to contests! Visiting his site (http://boy-kuripot.blogspot.com/) has been part of my daily routine (while sipping my morning coffee) for months now. It was about a year ago when I was inspired by one of my contacts here at multiply, Rowena Wendy Lei (who we all know, is such a lucky girl), to try my luck in contests. I never really considered myself lucky...I never won--even in "cake raffles" that we had in school...never! But somehow, sometime around the end of 2007, things began to change...I guess it was actually parts of "The Purpose Driven Life" and "The Secret" that caused the change. I found myself having a more positive outlook in life and I learned to appreciate the numerous blessings given to me by God...despite some "not-so-nice" things that happened…
Good things started to come my way!. ..Most of them are in my blog, like: free tickets, resort accommodations, a personal ref, a can of milk, disposable diapers, cheek tint, classical music cds, a dvd, a dictionary, cash (P1,500! haha!),a t-shirt, a cap and others else...a Jollibee Party Package...a room makeover...and of course our trip to LA! Most of these, especially the LA trip, which my husband and I consider a huge blessing that we will forever be grateful for, I owe to Boy-Kuripot. I know that this is all part of God's plan...there must be a reason why I'm writing this blog. Who knows...you may be the next lucky contest freak!
